vedic-chart

vedic-chart is a command for Claude Code from adarshj322/rishi-ai-mcp. It costs 6 tokens per session (686 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for producing a Vedic, or Jyotish, natal-chart reading from a person's birth details. It gathers the date, time, place, gender, and question, calculates the chart, and interprets planetary and house indicators.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for complete Vedic astrology birth-chart readings covering the ascendant, planetary strength and condition, Jaimini indicators, houses, and other listed chart data.
Why use it?
It provides a defined sequence for converting a birthplace into coordinates and time-zone data, generating the chart, and organizing the reading. This reduces omissions when handling the many chart factors involved.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00006 $0.00686
Opus 5 $0.00003 $0.00343
Sonnet 5 $0.00001 $0.00137
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00069

Security

Grade A, and why

vedic-chart scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Vedic Chart Reading Workflow

When the user wants a complete Vedic (Jyotish) natal chart reading, execute these steps:

Steps

  1. Gather Birth Details: Ask for DOB (DD/MM/YYYY), Time of Birth (HH:MM), Place of Birth (for lat/lon/timezone), Gender, and their specific question.

  2. Geocode Place: Convert birth city to lat/lon/timezone. Key references:

    • Delhi: 28.6139, 77.2090, Asia/Kolkata
    • Mumbai: 19.076, 72.8777, Asia/Kolkata
    • Bangalore: 12.9716, 77.5946, Asia/Kolkata
    • New York: 40.7128, -74.006, America/New_York
    • London: 51.5074, -0.1278, Europe/London
  3. Fetch Chart Data: Call cast_vedic_chart with birth parameters.

  4. Read Key Indicators:

    • panchang: tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga, karana
    • lagna.sign, lagna.nakshatra — core personality framework
    • shadbala.percentage for each planet (>100% = exceptionally strong, <80% = weak)
    • shadbala.ishta_kashta_phala — auspicious vs difficult potential
    • dignity, is_combust, is_retrograde — modifier flags
    • avasthas — Yuva = full delivery, Bala/Mrita = diminished
  5. Jaimini Karakas: Read jaimini_karakas. Atmakaraka = soul lesson; Amatyakaraka = career direction.

  6. House-Lord-Karaka: Use house field for bhava placement. Cross-reference lordship from Lagna.

  7. Vargas: D2 (wealth), D9 (marriage), D10 (career), D16 (luxuries), D20 (spirituality), D60 (past-life karma).

  8. Yogas: READ from yogas array — don't detect manually. Assess dignity + combustion of forming planets.

  9. Dashas: Read all 5 levels (Maha/Antar/Pratyantar/Sukshma/Prana) + dashas.timeline.

  10. Synthesize & Deliver Reading:

    • Core Essence: Lagna + Moon + Panchang + dominant yogas
    • Current Vibe: Dasha snapshot + transits + Sade Sati
    • Detailed Analysis: House + Lord + Karaka framework
    • Yoga Impact: Each detected yoga: promise, strength, timing
    • Probable Outcomes: Descending probability
    • Diagnostic Questions: 1-3 data-driven probing questions
    • The Key: Lifestyle shift + spiritual remedy + timing

vedic-chart is a command published in the GitHub repository adarshj322/rishi-ai-mcp (1 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 6 tokens to every session and 686 once invoked, about $0.0000 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
