decision-matrix

decision-matrix is a command for Claude Code from Amey-Thakur/AI-SKILLS. It costs 18 tokens per session (334 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A weighted decision matrix for comparing options against chosen criteria, using simple scores and importance weights.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to rank alternatives, justify each score, test sensitivity to different weights, and judge whether the decision is easy to reverse.
Why use it?
It exposes which criteria drive the result and whether a small change in assumptions would change the winner.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00018 $0.00334
Opus 5 $0.00009 $0.00167
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00067
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00033

Security

Grade A, and why

decision-matrix scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

You were invoked as a slash command. The user's input:

$ARGUMENTS

Use that input to fill this prompt's variables (take the main content, topic, or task from it; ask only if a required value is missing and not supplied), then follow the prompt exactly.

Help me decide: {decision}

Options: {options} Criteria that matter: {criteria}

Build the analysis:

  1. Confirm the criteria and assign each a weight (importance). If I gave weights, use them; otherwise propose weights and flag that they are yours to adjust: the weights are where the real judgment lives.
  2. Score each option against each criterion on a simple scale (1-5 or low/med/high), with a one-line justification per score from evidence, not vibes. Present as a table.
  3. Compute a weighted result and rank the options.
  4. Sensitivity check: does the winner change if the weights shift a little? If it is close, say what the decision actually hinges on.
  5. Weight reversibility: is this a reversible (decide fast, act) or irreversible (analyze deeply) decision? Say which.

Rules: keep scores coarse (false precision is a trap); the value is structuring the argument, not the arithmetic. If the deciding fact is unknown but cheaply testable, recommend testing it before choosing. End with a clear recommendation and the main tradeoff it accepts.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

decision-matrix is a command published in the GitHub repository Amey-Thakur/AI-SKILLS (7 stars, last pushed 6d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 18 tokens to every session and 334 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
