An elevator pitch is 20-40 seconds. It must land three things fast:
- The problem: the specific pain, stated so the listener recognizes it as real and worth solving.
- The solution and what makes it different: what you do and why it is better than the alternative (including doing nothing).
- The why-you and the traction: the credibility or proof that this will work (a result, a customer, a unique insight), if you have it.
Then a clear hook or ask that fits the goal.
Rules: lead with the problem or a striking hook, not "we are a platform that leverages..." (jargon loses the listener in the first sentence). Concrete and specific over buzzwords: a number or a vivid example beats "revolutionary" and "AI-powered". Conversational, how you would actually say it out loud, not written prose. Tight: every second counts, so cut anything that is not essential. Give me a 15-second version and a 30-second version, and one strong opening line. Mark any claim needing a real number as a placeholder.
