open

open is a command for Claude Code from anivaryam/anivaryam-plugins. It costs 28 tokens per session (236 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that decrypts an encrypted `.env.vault` file into a readable `.env` file. It can get the password from a prompt, an environment variable, or a command-line option.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when starting an application or CI job that needs environment variables stored in an encrypted vault. It helps restore the `.env` file for local work or automated builds.
Why use it?
It avoids manually decrypting environment settings and helps prevent accidental overwrites or unsafe password handling. It also checks that the decrypted file was created and is not empty.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00028 $0.00236
Opus 5 $0.00014 $0.00118
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00047
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00024

Measured 6d ago against content hash 57d3a15471d9, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

open scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Run env-vault open $ARGUMENTS.

Before running:

  1. If no file argument is given, default to .env.vault and confirm with the user.
  2. If an output file already exists and would be overwritten, confirm with the user first — the existing plaintext could have unsaved changes.
  3. Discourage -p <password> in interactive shells (process table, history). For CI, prefer ENV_VAULT_KEY=... set by the secret store.

After running, confirm the output file exists and is non-empty (test -s <output>). If the user is in a CI-like context, recommend sourcing the file: set -a; . ./.env; set +a.

If decrypt fails with authentication failed, the password is wrong or the vault is corrupted. Do not retry blindly — ask the user to verify the password source.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
