effort-breakdown-block

effort-breakdown-block is a command for Claude Code from appboypov/pew-pew-plaza-packs. It costs 0 tokens per session (454 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of abilities-block, MIT.

A command template for estimating software work by type, such as design, planning, front-end, back-end, quality checks, and testing. It also includes extra time for possible delays.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to prepare effort estimates for software projects, feature requests, refinements, and operational work.
Why use it?
It gives a project team a consistent way to discuss effort and uncertainty. This helps expose work that might otherwise be overlooked when setting expectations.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00454
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00227
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00091
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00045

Security

Grade A, and why

effort-breakdown-block scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

## ⏱️ Effort Breakdown & Estimates
> 💡 *We estimate the ideal and most likely outcome for design, refinement, front-end, back-end and operational work. QA is calculated as 25% of core work, while testing is calculated as 15% of core work. On top of that we add a margin for possible delay, which defaults to 10% of total work, but is increased if we think there is a high risk of unknown problems along the way.*

### Core Work Estimates

| **Design** | [ X ] | [ Explanation of design effort needed, or 0 if none ] |
| **Refinement** | [ X ] | [ Effort needed for planning, detailing requirements, and refining the approach ] |
| **Front-end** | [ X ] | [ Front-end development tasks (UI implementation, state management, etc.) ] |
| **Backend** | [ X ] | [ Backend development tasks (API endpoints, database changes, logic, etc.) ] |

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
