Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00034 $0.00480
Opus 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00192
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00007 $0.00096
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00048

Security

Grade A, and why

speckit.md-doctor.report scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

MD Doctor — Report

Show the project's current documentation health from MD Doctor's recorded facts. This is read-only: it aggregates state and prints; it never grades or edits.

User Input

$ARGUMENTS

Recognized modifiers:

  • --run <run-id>: render a specific past report from .specify/md-doctor/reports/<run-id>.md instead of the latest.
  • --json: print the aggregated summary as JSON.

With no input, show the latest health summary.

Workflow

Phase 1: Aggregate

bash .specify/extensions/md-doctor/scripts/bash/md-doctor.sh report

(Dev fallback: bash <extension-root>/md-doctor/scripts/bash/md-doctor.sh report.)

This reads .specify/md-doctor/state/facts.json and prints the health summary: average truthfulness, counts of truthful/stale/false/obsolete, and the update/delete/create action queue. Add --json for machine form.

Phase 2: Present

If a specific --run was requested, cat that report file and present it.

Otherwise present, in order:

  1. Headline — average truthfulness /100 and the verdict breakdown.
  2. Danger first — every false and obsolete file, with its rationale. These are the docs a new agent would wrongly believe.
  3. Action queue — update, then delete, then create, each as a path list.
  4. Healthy — count of truthful files (so the user sees the good news too).

If no facts.json exists yet, tell the user to run /speckit.md-doctor.scan first; do not invent numbers.

Report back

Print the summary and the action queue, and point to .specify/md-doctor/reports/ for the full latest report. Keep it short — the goal is a one-glance health check.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
