reload

reload is a command for coding agents from betmoar/cc-reload-plugin. It costs 11 tokens per session (218 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A manual session-reload command that reads .reload/session.md, a saved summary of an earlier session. It reports the intent, completed work, current work, next step, and open questions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to re-anchor work from the saved digest and repository state, then continue with the next concrete task. It also checks whether an active repeat loop should be continued first.
Why use it?
It restores working context after a conversation has been cleared or automatic reloading has not happened. If no summary exists, it points you toward creating one with /snapshot.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00011 $0.00218
Opus 5 $0.00005 $0.00109
Sonnet 5 $0.00002 $0.00044
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00022

Measured 3d ago against content hash fa6901123c85, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

reload scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Reload session

Rebuild working context from disk. Use this after a /clear if the auto-reload didn't fire, or any time you want to re-anchor on the saved thread.

  1. If a cc-repete loop is active (.repete/loop.local.md has active: true), STOP — use /repete-continue instead; cc-reload defers to the loop.
  2. Read .reload/session.md. If it is absent, tell the user there's nothing to reload and suggest /snapshot to start tracking this session.
  3. Give a 5-line situation report from the digest: intent, done, in flight, next concrete step, open questions — lead the user toward the next concrete step.
  4. Work strictly from the digest and the repo/git, not from any wiped conversation memory. Then continue on the next concrete step.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
