claude-sdk-rs: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/backlog-ticket.md

backlog-ticket is a command for Claude Code from bredmond1019/claude-sdk-rs. It costs 0 tokens per session (1,301 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A command that records a new idea, improvement, or research thread in a central backlog. A backlog is a list of work that has been captured but is not necessarily scheduled.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to capture a free-form idea, optionally naming its target repository or type. It writes the entry to the central backlog and updates its state file.
Why use it?
It gives unplanned ideas a consistent place instead of leaving them in chat or scattered notes. It also checks the existing backlog for similar entries before adding one.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.01301
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00520
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00260
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00130

Measured 11d ago against content hash 300b15c58486, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

backlog-ticket scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 98 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Backlog Ticket — Capture a queued idea into the HQ backlog

Variables

$ARGUMENTS — free-form description of the idea, improvement, or research thread. Can include a target repo, type hint, or just a raw description.

Execution Model

Run entirely inline. Spawn no subagent. This is a single-file append plus a state.json node write — small enough that a subagent round trip adds latency without adding value.

Instructions

  1. If $ARGUMENTS is not provided, stop and ask the user to describe the idea.

  2. Find the HQ brain root. From the current working directory, walk up parent by parent looking for a brain.toml file (its first line begins # brain.toml). The directory containing it is BRAIN_ROOT. If not found, abort and explain this command requires the HQ brain context.

  3. Read $BRAIN_ROOT/core/planning/backlog.md to understand the current format and check for near-duplicates. This command ALWAYS writes to the HQ backlog, never a sub-brain or project repo backlog.

  4. From $ARGUMENTS infer the following fields:

    title — a concise, action-oriented title (5–10 words)

repo — the primary repo/area this belongs to. Pick one: base-template · orchestrator · learn-ai · bastion · mev · brain · business · cross-repo If the description clearly targets multiple repos and neither dominates, use cross-repo.

type — what kind of work this is:

    • feature — new capability or user-facing addition
    • improvement — refine, fix, or simplify something existing
    • research — investigation or scoping pass before building
    • content — writing, course material, or learning content
    • business — CV, outreach, rates, career, client ops
    • planning-session — needs a design/planning pass before implementation work can begin

status — default to idea unless the description implies it's already scoped and ready (ready)

related — optional; any decisions (D##), master-plan blocks, or doc paths mentioned or clearly implied by the description. Omit if nothing obvious.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
