claude-sdk-rs: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/sync-global-commands.md

sync-global-commands is a command for Claude Code from bredmond1019/claude-sdk-rs. It costs 34 tokens per session (911 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A command that copies shared agent command files from a project template into the user's global Claude command directory. It checks that it is being run from the correct template folder and supports a dry-run check.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to install or refresh non-brain commands in the global Claude configuration.
Why use it?
It makes common commands available outside one project and helps prevent syncing from the wrong directory.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00034 $0.00911
Opus 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00364
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00007 $0.00182
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00091

Security

Grade A, and why

sync-global-commands scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

sync-global-commands — Sync harness commands to global install

Installs all harness commands from .claude/commands/ into ~/.claude/commands/, excluding the brain/ reference directory.

Instructions

  1. Guard — confirm you are in the base-template root.

    Run:

test -f .claude/workflows/sdlc-flow.js && echo "Guard: OK — running from base-template root" || echo "ABORT: .claude/workflows/sdlc-flow.js not found. Run this command from the base-template root."

If the guard fails (file not found), stop immediately and tell the user:

"sync-global-commands must be run from the base-template root directory (the directory that contains .claude/workflows/sdlc-flow.js). Please cd to that directory and try again."

  2. Count before — record current state of ~/.claude/commands/.

    Run:

    COUNT_BEFORE=$(find ~/.claude/commands -name "*.md" 2>/dev/null | wc -l | tr -d ' ')
echo "Before: $COUNT_BEFORE .md files in ~/.claude/commands/"

  3. Sync — install commands globally.

    Run:

    rsync -av --delete --exclude='brain/' .claude/commands/ ~/.claude/commands/

    This:

    • Copies the contents of .claude/commands/ (trailing slash) into ~/.claude/commands/.
    • --delete propagates removals and renames (stale files are removed from global).
    • --exclude='brain/' ensures brain-scoped reference commands are never installed globally.
  4. Verify — confirm sync is complete (dry run shows nothing to do).

    Run:

    LEFTOVER=$(rsync -n --delete --exclude='brain/' .claude/commands/ ~/.claude/commands/ 2>&1)
    if echo "$LEFTOVER" | grep -qE '^(deleting |>f)'; then
echo "WARN: dry run reports pending changes — sync may not be complete:"
      echo "$LEFTOVER"
    else
echo "Verify: OK — dry run reports nothing to do"
    fi

  5. Report — show before/after counts and confirm brain/ is absent from global.

    Run:

    COUNT_AFTER=$(find ~/.claude/commands -name "*.md" 2>/dev/null | wc -l | tr -d ' ')
echo "After: $COUNT_AFTER .md files in ~/.claude/commands/"

    if [ -d ~/.claude/commands/brain ]; then
echo "FAIL: brain/ is present in ~/.claude/commands/ — it should not be there."
    else
echo "brain/ not in global: OK"
    fi

    echo ""
echo "Sync complete. Before: $COUNT_BEFORE After: $COUNT_AFTER"

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
