init

init is a command for coding agents from C0ntr0lledCha0s/claude-code-plugin-automations. It costs 19 tokens per session (2,662 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A setup command for a GitHub project workspace. It gathers repository, branch, issue, milestone, project-board, label, and user information and saves it for the current session.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to initialize or refresh the workflow environment, sync issues, detect the current branch and related issues, inspect labels, and set project preferences.
Why use it?
It removes the need to repeatedly look up project details before using other GitHub workflow commands.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00019 $0.02662
Opus 5 $0.00010 $0.01331
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00532
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00266

Measured 3d ago against content hash 82b6dbed57c0, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

init scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Initialize Workflow Environment

Set up the GitHub workflow environment for the current session. This command gathers project context, syncs issues, and creates environment variables for use by other commands.

Usage

/init # Initialize (skip if already done today)
/init --force # Force re-initialization

Arguments

  • --force (optional): Re-initialize even if already done today

What This Does

  1. Detect Repository: Get owner/repo from git remote
  2. Get User Info: Current GitHub username
  3. Find Project Board: Auto-detect most recent active project board
  4. Get Current Milestone: Find active milestone/sprint
  5. Analyze Project Scopes: Suggest scope labels based on project structure
  6. Label Stocktake: Check and report missing standard labels
  7. Detect Branch: Get current branch and detect related issues and scope
  8. Sync Issues: Fetch issues (defaults to all issues)
  9. Set Preferences: Configure defaults (project type, issue filter, default project)
  10. Create Setup Status: Track which setup steps are complete
  11. Save Environment: Save context to .claude/github-workflows/env.json
  12. Show Summary: Display workflow status, label stocktake, and setup recommendations

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
