vastai-host-mcp: Command for GitHub Copilot

.github/prompts/README.md

README is a command for GitHub Copilot from Cogni-AI-OU/vastai-host-mcp. It costs 0 tokens per session (1,469 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A collection guide for reusable prompts that coding assistants can use in editors, manually, or through GitHub's AI tools. It describes Markdown templates for people and YAML files for machine-readable or API use.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to understand, organize, and apply prompt files across repositories and AI tools.
Why use it?
It gives a consistent way to find and reuse instructions for common repository tasks instead of rewriting prompts each time.

Command for GitHub Copilot

Written for GitHub Copilot: a Copilot chat mode or prompt. Also seen: mentions Claude Code; mentions AGENTS.md.

This is Cogni-AI-OU/vastai-host-mcp's own configuration. It tells GitHub Copilot how to work on vastai-host-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything vastai-host-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.01469
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00588
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00294
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00147

Measured 29d ago against content hash 647dc0b33381, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

README scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 29d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 180 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Agent Prompts

This directory contains prompt files that can be used with AI agents (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to perform standardized tasks across repositories.

  • For the agent-facing prompt catalog, see AGENTS.md.

Prompt File Formats

This directory supports two types of prompt formats:

Markdown Format (.md)

Markdown prompts (.prompt.md) are human-readable prompt templates designed for use in:

  • VS Code: Reference these prompts in GitHub Copilot Chat or other AI assistants within your IDE
  • Claude Code: Copy and paste content directly or reference the file URL
  • Manual use: Easy to read and adapt for any AI tool

Markdown prompts are ideal for detailed, structured instructions with checklists and examples.

YAML Format (.yml or .yaml)

YAML prompts (.prompt.yml or .prompt.yaml) follow the GitHub Models prompt format and are designed for:

  • GitHub Models: Direct integration with GitHub's AI model playground
  • Programmatic use: Machine-readable format for automated workflows
  • API integration: Use with GitHub Models API and other model providers

YAML prompts define structured message exchanges with specific roles (system, user, assistant) and model configuration.

How to Use

Markdown Prompts (.prompt.md)

With Claude Code
  1. In an Issue or PR: Mention @claude and provide the prompt content or reference the file:

@claude Please follow the checklist in
    https://github.com/Cogni-AI-OU/.github/blob/main/.github/prompts/repository-setup.prompt.md
to review and update this repository's configuration.

  2. Directly: Copy the prompt content and paste it into a Claude Code conversation.

With GitHub Copilot (VS Code)
  1. In VS Code Chat: Open Copilot Chat and reference the prompt:

@workspace Please follow the repository setup checklist from
    .github/prompts/repository-setup.prompt.md to standardize this repository.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
