storyboard

storyboard is a command for Claude Code from danielrosehill/Claude-AI-Video-Producer-Plugin. It costs 22 tokens per session (279 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that turns a finished video script into a numbered shot list and separate notes for each shot. A shot list records what appears on screen, what is heard, how the shot should be generated, and which pipeline it uses.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create the project timeline, per-shot visual and audio briefs, generation methods, model choices, and pipeline assignments.
Why use it?
It breaks a full script into manageable generation tasks and reveals mismatches between the planned shot count, durations, and total runtime.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00022 $0.00279
Opus 5 $0.00011 $0.00139
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00056
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00028

Security

Grade A, and why

storyboard scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Read scripts/final/script.md (fall back to the latest in scripts/drafts/ if not yet promoted — but warn the user).

Produce a shot list. For each shot:

# Duration Visual Audio Generation approach Pipeline
  • #01, 02, ... matches the NN in artefact filenames.
  • Visual — one-sentence description of what's on screen.
  • Audio — VO line, dialogue, SFX, music cue.
  • Generation approach — which modality (text-to-image-to-video, text-to-video direct, stock + edit, etc.) and which model from brief/tools-and-models.md.
  • Pipeline — name of the file in pipelines/ to invoke (or "custom").

Write the table to timeline/shot-list.md.

For each shot, also write a per-shot brief at scripts/storyboards/NN-shortname.md containing: visual prompt seed, audio script, character refs, duration, and notes. These become the input to /run-pipeline.

Confirm shot count and total runtime against the brief. Flag mismatches.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

storyboard is a command published in the GitHub repository danielrosehill/Claude-AI-Video-Producer-Plugin (4 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 22 tokens to every session and 279 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
