uninstall

uninstall is a command for coding agents from derjochenmeyer/claude-code-craft-statusline. It costs 18 tokens per session (261 once invoked), scanned B, original, MIT.

A command that removes craft-statusline’s active status-line configuration from `~/.claude/settings.json` but leaves the plugin installed.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to disable the status line, then restart Claude Code; uninstall the plugin separately if you want it removed completely.
Why use it?
It stops craft-statusline from rendering without deleting the plugin itself, and checks first that craft-statusline is the active status line.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00018 $0.00261
Opus 5 $0.00009 $0.00130
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00052
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00026

Measured 3d ago against content hash 72c0f50ee8c4, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade B, and why

uninstall scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What it actually says

craft-statusline:uninstall

Disable the craft-statusline rendering by removing the statusLine block from ~/.claude/settings.json. The plugin itself stays installed; use /plugin uninstall craft-statusline if you want it gone entirely.

Steps

1. Confirm what's currently set

jq -r '.statusLine.command // "NONE"' ~/.claude/settings.json 2>/dev/null

If the result does not contain craft-statusline.sh, report:

craft-statusline is not the active status line. Nothing to remove.
Current value: [whatever was returned]

Stop.

2. Remove the statusLine block

tmp=$(mktemp)
jq 'del(.statusLine)' ~/.claude/settings.json > "$tmp" && mv "$tmp" ~/.claude/settings.json

3. Report

craft-statusline removed from ~/.claude/settings.json.
The plugin is still installed (run `/plugin uninstall craft-statusline` to remove it completely).
Restart Claude Code to drop the status line from the UI.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

uninstall is a command published in the GitHub repository derjochenmeyer/claude-code-craft-statusline (2 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 18 tokens to every session and 261 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (reads agent configuration directories). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
