Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00379
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00189
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00076
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00038

Measured 8d ago against content hash 0a11e9694b5c, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

release-check scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Pre-Release Checklist

Validate that markupr is ready for a new release. Run this before bumping the version.

Instructions

  1. Verify the build succeeds:

    npm run build

This builds the desktop app, CLI, and MCP server. All three must succeed.

  2. Run the full test suite:

    npm test -- --run

All tests must pass. Do not proceed if any fail.

  3. Run lint and type checking:

    npm run lint
    npm run typecheck

Zero errors required. Warnings are acceptable but should be noted.

  4. Check version consistency:

    • Read package.json for the current version
    • Read CLAUDE.md for the documented version
    • Read electron-builder.yml for the builder config version
    • Flag any mismatches
  5. Review recent changes since last release:

    git log --oneline $(git describe --tags --abbrev=0 2>/dev/null || echo HEAD~20)..HEAD

Categorize commits as: features, fixes, chores, breaking changes.

  6. Check for uncommitted changes:

    git status

Working tree should be clean before release.

  7. Verify native dependencies:

    npm ls keytar sharp whisper-node

Ensure native modules are installed and compatible.

  8. Produce a release summary:

    • Suggested version bump (patch/minor/major) based on changes
    • Draft CHANGELOG entry
    • Any blockers or risks identified
    • Confirmation: "Ready for release" or "Not ready -- [reasons]"

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
