goal

goal is a command for Claude Code from Ertinox7711/SGRR-AGI-V2. It costs 21 tokens per session (383 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A persistent project objective that is shown again in later prompts until it is explicitly completed. It can store progress notes and be paused or resumed.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to set a project goal, check its status, record progress, pause or resume it, and mark it complete when the objective is actually achieved.
Why use it?
A long task can be forgotten when a conversation is shortened or changes direction. Keeping the objective outside the conversation helps the agent continue working toward it and distinguish real completion from a finished subtask.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00021 $0.00383
Opus 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00153
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00004 $0.00077
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00038

Security

Grade A, and why

goal scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 21d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Persistent thread goal for the current project. Port of prime-agent's /goal.

Arguments: $ARGUMENTS

Engine: python ~/.claude/scripts/goal-state.py --cwd <project root>

input run
(nothing) or status get - print the current goal, status, turn count, notes
note <text> note "<text>" - append a progress note
complete complete - only when the objective is ACTUALLY achieved
pause / resume / clear the matching subcommand
anything else set "<the whole argument string>" - start a new goal

Rules:

  • A goal is created only when the operator asks for one. Never infer a goal from an ordinary task.
  • While a goal is active, a UserPromptSubmit hook re-injects it on every prompt. Treat it as a standing instruction: keep pursuing it, and record progress with note rather than letting it live in context alone.
  • complete is the ONLY way a goal ends. Do not call it because the budget is thin, the context is full, or the current sub-task finished. Running out of room is a reason to compact and continue, not to declare victory.
  • One active goal per project. Setting a second is refused until the first is completed, paused or cleared.

After any state change, report the new status in one line.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

goal is a command published in the GitHub repository Ertinox7711/SGRR-AGI-V2 (1 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 21 tokens to every session and 383 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-04.
