resume-from

resume-from is a command for Claude Code from EZotoff/ez-omo-config. It costs 16 tokens per session (252 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that starts work from a saved session handoff file. It checks whether the repository has changed, marks affected steps as outdated, reports missing evidence, and pauses for a continue, revise, or archive decision.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for reopening the latest handoff, a named handoff, or a file path and reviewing the mission, status, next steps, and prohibitions before continuing.
Why use it?
It prevents a new session from blindly following instructions based on an old commit or dirty working tree. The operator must confirm the plan before work resumes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00016 $0.00252
Opus 5 $0.00008 $0.00126
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00050
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00025

Security

Grade A, and why

resume-from scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Resume from a handoff artifact using the handoff-relay skill procedure (load it via the skill tool if available; otherwise apply the procedure below inline).

Argument: a slug, latest, or a file path. latest = newest handoff-*.md in .builder-kit/audit/.

Procedure, in order:

  1. Read the artifact fully.
  2. Validate before trusting: compare its recorded source head (sha/branch) against the repo's actual state. If HEAD has moved past it, list what changed since and mark affected next-steps STALE. If the tree it describes was dirty, say so.
  3. Read the entry artifacts it cites; report any that are missing instead of improvising around them.
  4. Present in ≤15 lines: mission → state (done / in flight / gotchas) → numbered next steps with STALE marks → prohibitions.
  5. STOP at the decision checkpoint: continue / revise / archive. Do not begin any next step, spawn any agent, or edit any file before the operator answers.

If the artifact cannot be found, list available handoff artifacts and stop.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
