mollify: Command for Claude Code

.cursor/commands/mollify-arch.md

mollify-arch is a command for Claude Code, Cursor from FavioVazquez/mollify. It costs 0 tokens per session (225 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command for checking a repository's software architecture with Mollify. It reports evidence about dependency cycles and rule violations, while leaving the final judgment to you.

In plain words
What is it for?
Grouping architecture findings by rule and confidence, inspecting the affected file and line, explaining dependency cycles, and preparing a remediation plan.
Why use it?
It helps locate structural problems without changing files or presenting uncertain findings as facts.

Command for Claude CodeCursor

Written for Cursor and Claude Code: installed under .cursor/, but also a Claude Code command (commands/*.md).

This is FavioVazquez/mollify's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Cursor how to work on mollify itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything mollify configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00225
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00112
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00045
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00022

Security

Grade A, and why

mollify-arch scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Analyze the architecture of this repository with Mollify and summarize the findings. Mollify emits evidence (stable fingerprint, confidence tier, reason), not decisions. You are the verifier.

Steps:

  1. Run mollify arch --format json (or call the mollify MCP mollify_arch tool). Add --path <dir> if a subproject was specified.
  2. Group findings by rule (circular-dependency, layer-violation, forbidden-import, independence-violation, private-import) and by confidence, with counts.
  3. List each finding with its file:line, its reason, and the fingerprint. For circular dependencies, describe the cycle.
  4. Do NOT modify files. Present a remediation plan ordered by severity and ask for approval first.

Notes:

  • Layer and policy rules come from .mollifyrc.json (architecture preset/layers and policies).
  • Act automatically only on confidence: certain; surface likely / uncertain and let the user decide.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mollify-arch is a command published in the GitHub repository FavioVazquez/mollify (6 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 225 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
