mollify: Command for Claude Code

.cursor/commands/mollify-inspect.md

mollify-inspect is a command for Claude Code, Cursor from FavioVazquez/mollify. It costs 0 tokens per session (147 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that examines one file with Mollify and returns its reported issues plus nearby import relationships. Mollify is a tool for analysing code structure and possible problems.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect a named file, review each finding's rule, confidence, reason, and location, and see what the file imports and which files import it.
Why use it?
It gathers the evidence needed to understand an issue in the file's context instead of looking at an isolated warning. It does not change the file.

This is FavioVazquez/mollify's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Cursor how to work on mollify itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything mollify configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00147
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00073
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00029
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00015

Security

Grade A, and why

mollify-inspect scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Inspect a single file with Mollify. mollify inspect returns an evidence bundle for one file: its findings plus its import neighborhood.

Steps:

  1. Run mollify inspect <file> for the file the user specified (e.g. mollify inspect app/services/billing.py; or call the mollify MCP mollify_inspect tool with file). Add --path <dir> if a subproject was specified.
  2. Summarize the file's findings (rule, confidence, reason, fingerprint, location) and its import neighborhood (what it imports and what imports it).
  3. Do NOT modify the file. Present findings and let the user decide on any action.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mollify-inspect is a command published in the GitHub repository FavioVazquez/mollify (6 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 147 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
