mollify: Command for Claude Code

.cursor/commands/mollify-metrics.md

mollify-metrics is a command for Claude Code, Cursor from FavioVazquez/mollify. It costs 0 tokens per session (210 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A read-only report of measured project statistics, such as lines of code, files, symbols, complexity, and finding counts.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to report project size, inspect complexity outliers, and choose follow-up checks for duplication or dead code.
Why use it?
It gives a consistent numerical overview of a codebase and highlights unusually large or complex areas.

This is FavioVazquez/mollify's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Cursor how to work on mollify itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything mollify configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00210
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00105
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00042
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00021

Security

Grade A, and why

mollify-metrics scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Report project-wide quantitative metrics with Mollify and summarize them. Mollify is a deterministic engine: metrics are computed, not estimated. You are the verifier.

Steps:

  1. Run mollify metrics --format json (or call the mollify MCP mollify_metrics tool). Add --path <dir> if a subproject was specified.
  2. Summarize the headline numbers: total lines of code, file count, symbol count, the complexity distribution, and the per-category finding tallies.
  3. Call out any outliers (e.g. unusually large files, heavy complexity buckets) and tie them back to the relevant analysis command (complexity, dupes, dead-code) the user could run next.
  4. Do NOT modify any files — this is read-only reporting.

Notes:

  • metrics is a quantitative summary; for actionable findings run mollify audit or a specific engine.
  • All numbers are deterministic for a given input — identical input yields byte-identical output.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mollify-metrics is a command published in the GitHub repository FavioVazquez/mollify (6 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 210 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
