What is notebook-create?

A command for creating a NotebookLM notebook, which is a workspace for studying information from collected sources. It can add web pages, pasted text, Google Drive documents, and local files.

Use it to start a research notebook from a title and a set of URLs, documents, text, or files, then confirm that the sources were added.

It organizes the notebook and its sources for you, reducing the need to add and verify each item manually.

The user wants to create a new NotebookLM notebook. Title hint: $ARGUMENTS

Steps:

Create the notebook with notebook_create(title="$ARGUMENTS").
Ask the user what sources to add. Supported types:
- URLs (articles, web pages)
- Plain text or pasted content
- Google Drive documents (by document ID)
- Local files (PDF, DOCX, TXT, etc.)
For each source, call source_add() with the appropriate source_type.
- For URLs, set wait=True so processing completes before the next step.
After all sources are added, call notebook_describe(notebook_id) to confirm the notebook was populated correctly.
Tell the user their notebook is ready and suggest next steps: query it, create studio artifacts, or start research.
