setup

setup is a command for Claude Code from gonnagetapower/kelvia-mcp. It costs 13 tokens per session (280 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that connects a project to a Kelvia board and checks that the connection works. Kelvia is a task-board service where work is organised into boards and workflow columns.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when setting up Kelvia for the first time, reconnecting after an authorization problem, choosing a project board, or checking the board’s workflow.
Why use it?
It handles the initial sign-in check and helps select the board this project should use. It also shows the board’s columns so you can confirm the connection is live.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00013 $0.00280
Opus 5 $0.00006 $0.00140
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00056
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00028

Measured 6d ago against content hash 5f53f5b64539, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

setup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Connect the user to Kelvia and leave them with a board they can use.

  1. Call get_current_user. If it fails with an authorization error, the OAuth flow has not completed — tell the user to approve the Kelvia connection in the browser window Claude Code opens, then run this command again. If no window appeared, point them at /mcp to reconnect the kelvia server.

If they do not have an account yet, they need a free one at https://kelvia.app — signing up takes an email address and nothing else.

  2. Call list_boards. Report what they have, briefly.

  3. If they have no boards, offer to create one with create_board and ask what it should be called. Do not create it unasked.

  4. If they have boards, ask which one this project should default to, and remember the answer for the rest of the session.

  5. Show them one thing that works — read the board's columns with list_board_columns and describe the workflow it encodes, so they can see the connection is live rather than being told it is.

Keep this short. It is a setup command, not a tour.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

setup is a command published in the GitHub repository gonnagetapower/kelvia-mcp (1 stars, last pushed 22d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 13 tokens to every session and 280 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
