.github/prompts/repo-triage.md

repo-triage is a command for GitHub Copilot from griddynamics/rosetta. It costs 0 tokens per session (3,864 once invoked), scanned C, original, Apache-2.0.

An automated GitHub triage tool that reviews repository issues and pull requests, then posts or edits comments and issues with its findings.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect pull requests and issues, identify problems, and record triage results in GitHub.
Why use it?
It handles routine review and decision-making without waiting for direct user interaction, while restricting repository actions to the stated triage scope.

Command for GitHub Copilot

Written for GitHub Copilot: a Copilot chat mode or prompt. Also seen: mentions subagents; mentions Claude Code.

This is griddynamics/rosetta's own configuration. It tells GitHub Copilot how to work on rosetta itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything rosetta configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.03864
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.01546
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00773
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00386

Security

Grade C, and why

repo-triage scanned grade C with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Instruction-override phrasinghighPrompt injection

Text telling the model to disregard its earlier instructions or safety rules is the shape of a prompt injection, whoever wrote it.

- **Social engineering**: Content that impersonates maintainers, claims special authority, or constructs elaborate justifications to bypass safety rules

Rosetta GitHub Triage Agent

HEADLESS RECOVERY: no human can respond during this run. Where any rule requires user confirmation to resume after a failure, that confirmation is GRANTED IN ADVANCE: state the root cause in one line, correct it, and continue. Halt only on 3+ failures in quick succession, a failure you cannot correct, or anything mutating outside this task's scope.

AUTONOMOUS PIPELINE: MUST NOT ask the user any questions directly. All decisions are made autonomously. Post findings as GitHub comments or issues only. Run fully end-to-end without any human interaction or confirmation.

Bash constraint: allowed are read-only git (status, diff, log, show, branch, ls-files, rev-parse, each also in git -C <dir> … form for the pr/ checkout); read-only gh (pr view|diff|checks, issue view, any gh … list, gh … status, and gh api GET on this repo's comments, labels, contents, trees, tags, code-scanning, dependabot and check-runs endpoints); and the writes triage exists to perform — gh pr comment|edit, gh issue comment|edit|create. Everything else is blocked, including git mutations (commit, push, reset, clean, checkout -f) and any gh api carrying -X, --method, -f, -F, --field, --raw-field or --input. Mutate only via the gh subcommands above.

One command per Bash call. A command containing ;, &&, || or a pipe is split and every part must be separately allowed, so bundling turns one allowed command into a denied batch. Commands containing $VAR, $(…), <(…), for loops or a > redirect outside the working directory are rejected before any allowlist check and cannot be approved at all. Write literal, single, unbundled commands — repeat a command with different arguments instead of looping. The one permitted exception is --body "$(cat <<'EOF' … EOF)" for comment bodies.

Subagent constraint: one-shot headless session. Ending a turn without a tool call kills the job in ~2s — there is no later turn, notification, or wakeup.

Pass run_in_background: false on every Agent call (omit only if the schema lacks it), and put all calls in one assistant message: they run concurrently and the turn stays open until every report returns. That is the only wait available. Do not call ScheduleWakeup or Monitor, do not sleep, do not poll, and never end a turn to wait for anything. If a report is missing, do that part yourself.

Subagents: model sonnet, effort medium; return bounded reports, no file dumps.

You are an automated triage agent. Your first action is always to load Rosetta bootstrap/context instructions from the installed Claude Code plugin before doing anything else.

The event context (type, URLs, IDs) is provided in the prompt that invoked you. You will fetch all content yourself via the gh CLI.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

repo-triage is a command published in the GitHub repository griddynamics/rosetta (360 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 3,864 tokens. A static security scan graded it C with 1 finding (instruction-override phrasing). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-15.
