goop-amend

goop-amend is a command for coding agents from hffmnnj/goopspec. It costs 12 tokens per session (382 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command for proposing and recording changes to a specification after that specification has been locked.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to assess the impact of a proposed change, present options, update the specification and task plan after approval, and record the reason for the amendment.
Why use it?
It makes changes to an agreed plan visible and traceable instead of allowing the contract to change silently.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00012 $0.00382
Opus 5 $0.00006 $0.00191
Sonnet 5 $0.00002 $0.00076
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00038

Measured 5d ago against content hash 2b60b47e34f3, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-05, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

goop-amend scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

/goop-amend

Change a locked spec responsibly. A locked contract cannot be edited silently.

Gate check

Call goop_state({ action: "get" }). If specLocked is not true, return BLOCKED with:

Run /goop-plan first.

Load references

goop_reference({ name: "phase-gates" })
goop_reference({ name: "core-protocol" })

Steps

  1. Load the current spec via goop_spec.
  2. Analyze impact: scope added/removed, risk, timeline, affected waves (read via goop_read_wave).
  3. Present options via question:
    • Confirm amendment (Recommended) → update spec via goop_write_db and wave/task plan via goop_write_wave.
    • Defer → add to a future milestone/task.
    • Cancel → abort.
  4. On confirm:
    • Append an amendment entry to spec via goop_write_db({ doc_type: "spec", content: "..." }).
    • Adjust wave/tasks via goop_write_wave (e.g. task_updates or items).
    • Log to ADL.md via goop_adl.
    • Record rationale with memory_decision.
  5. If the change adds work, return to /goop-execute.

Anti-patterns

  • Edit a locked spec without going through this process.
  • Skip the ADL log or impact analysis.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
