ai-coding-blueprint: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/review.md

review is a command for Claude Code from ikhanux/ai-coding-blueprint. It costs 13 tokens per session (341 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A senior-engineer code review command for changed files or a specified target. It examines simplicity, clarity, consistency with project rules, correctness, and common edge cases, then runs the project's checks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review a Git diff or selected files for bugs, unnecessary complexity, unclear names, inconsistent patterns, and missing handling for empty, loading, error, or long-content cases.
Why use it?
It provides an independent pass over code before it is considered finished. It calls out concrete problems with file and line references rather than only giving a general opinion.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00013 $0.00341
Opus 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00136
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00003 $0.00068
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00034

Measured 1mo ago against content hash b41b7f008359, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

review scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Review

Review code as a senior engineer would.

Target

$ARGUMENTS

If no target is specified, review all changed files (git diff HEAD --name-only plus untracked files under the source folder named in CLAUDE.md).

Instructions

Read CLAUDE.md and .ai/PROJECT.md first. Then look at the code and ask:

Simplicity

  • Is this over-engineered?
  • Could it be shorter without losing clarity?
  • Are there unnecessary abstractions?

Clarity

  • Are names descriptive?
  • Is the logic easy to follow?
  • Would a new teammate understand this?

Consistency

  • Does it match CLAUDE.md § Conventions and § Architecture?
  • Does it match its sibling files?
  • Does it respect every rule in .ai/PROJECT.md § Global rules?

Correctness

  • Are edge cases handled? (empty, loading, error, long content)
  • Any obvious bugs, race conditions, resource leaks, stale state?

Run the Check command from CLAUDE.md § Commands and include failures.

Output

If changes are needed:

  1. List specific issues with file:line
  2. Provide the fixed code

If the code is good:

  • Say so briefly and move on

Guidelines

  • Be constructive, not nitpicky
  • Focus on what matters: bugs, clarity, maintainability
  • Don't suggest changes just to suggest changes
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

review is a command published in the GitHub repository ikhanux/ai-coding-blueprint (2 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 13 tokens to every session and 341 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-21.
