codex-review

codex-review is a command for Claude Code from jgt87/codex-offload-mcp. It costs 19 tokens per session (384 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that asks Codex, another coding agent, to complete a task and then reviews the resulting code changes. It can send corrections and repeat the review until the changes are acceptable.

What it actually says

The user wants the execute→review loop: Codex does the work, you check it.

Task: $ARGUMENTS

  1. Dispatch with codex_start(prompt, cwd) — a self-contained prompt, since Codex cannot see this conversation. You get a jobId back immediately; keep working meanwhile. Don't sleep-poll — foreground sleep is blocked by the harness, so a narrated wait collapses into an instant re-poll; do real work and collect with codex_result when ready, or run the returned watchCommand via Bash with run_in_background for a one-shot completion notification. Don't use Monitor for this: it is for repeated events, not a single job-completion wait. Don't just say "I'll check back later" and end the turn either — nothing brings you back on its own, so that promise goes unfulfilled until the user re-prompts you; either arm watchCommand now or keep working now.
  2. Collect and review with codex_result. Trust actualChanges (git's account) over Codex's own report, and re-read each changed file before judging it. Check correctness, not just that it ran.
  3. Correct in place with codex_reply(jobId, ...) — it keeps Codex's full context, so point at what's wrong ("you missed X", "this breaks Y") rather than starting a fresh cold job.
  4. Repeat 2–3 until the diff is right, then summarise for the user what changed and what you verified.
