meic-status

meic-status is a command for Claude Code from joncovington/MEICAgent. It costs 0 tokens per session (359 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that summarizes the current MEICAgent trading session. It combines open positions, today’s entries and profit or loss, and recent actions recorded in the system log.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to check open trades, stop levels, order details, today’s activity, per-symbol results, and the latest actions taken by the agent.
Why use it?
It brings the most useful account details together, so you do not have to query several database records and interpret them separately.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.00359
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00179
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00072
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00036

Measured 3d ago against content hash 4f1a6204e900, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

meic-status scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Display the current MEICAgent session status as a clear, readable summary.

Run the following in parallel:

python src/db.py get_open_trades
python src/db.py get_today_count
python src/db.py get_today_pnl

Also query the last 5 loop log entries:

python -c "
import sqlite3, json
conn = sqlite3.connect('data/meic_trades.db')
conn.row_factory = sqlite3.Row
rows = conn.execute('SELECT loop_time, symbol, action, reasoning, iv_rank, underlying_price, session_quality FROM loop_log ORDER BY loop_time DESC LIMIT 5').fetchall()
print(json.dumps([dict(r) for r in rows], default=str))
conn.close()
"

Present the results as a concise status report:

  • Open positions: grouped by symbol; for each open/partial trade show order ID, strikes, net credit, current stop levels, status, and time entered
  • Today's summary: total entries and net P&L to date, account-wide across all symbols (add a per-symbol breakdown if more than one symbol has activity today)
  • Last loop action per symbol: the most recent loop_log row for each symbol that appears in the last 5 (rows with symbol = null are account-wide summary rows, not tied to one symbol — call these out separately)
  • Recent loop history: brief summary of the last 5 actions, each labeled with its symbol
  • Any active conflicts or warnings: flag if the most recent loop logged a WARN, and which symbol (if any) it pertains to

Keep the output brief and scannable — this is a quick check, not a full report.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

meic-status is a command published in the GitHub repository joncovington/MEICAgent (4 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 359 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
