paper-dashboard

paper-dashboard is a command for Claude Code from joncovington/MEICAgent. It costs 0 tokens per session (354 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A local web dashboard for viewing simulated MEICAgent trades. It uses a separate paper-trading database and port, and marks the page as simulated so it can be distinguished from the live account.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to open and monitor the paper-trading session in a browser while keeping the live dashboard available separately.
Why use it?
It lets you monitor paper positions and results without confusing them with real trades or interrupting the live dashboard.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.00354
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00177
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00071
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00035

Measured 4d ago against content hash 315a184e2557, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

paper-dashboard scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Launch the MEICAgent paper-trading dashboard — the same dashboard as /dashboard, pointed at data/paper_trades.db instead of the live account. Runs on a separate port (5051) so it can be open alongside the live dashboard (5050) without conflict, and is visually marked "Paper Mode — Simulated" so it can never be mistaken for real account data.

Step 1 — Check if already running

python -c "import socket; s=socket.socket(); r=s.connect_ex(('127.0.0.1',5051)); s.close(); print('running' if r==0 else 'not_running')"

Step 2a — Already running

If output is running: open the browser and tell the user the paper-trading dashboard is already running.

start http://localhost:5051

Tell the user: "Paper-trading dashboard already running — opening browser at http://localhost:5051"

Step 2b — Not running

If output is not_running: start the server as a hidden background process, then open the browser. --mode paper alone is sufficient — it drives both the DB path (data/paper_trades.db) and the port default (5051).

Start-Process python -ArgumentList 'dashboard.py','--mode','paper' -WorkingDirectory $PWD -WindowStyle Hidden

Wait 1 second, then open browser:

start http://localhost:5051

Tell the user: "Paper-trading dashboard started at http://localhost:5051 (Paper Mode — simulated data only) · auto-refreshes every 30 s"

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
