free

free is a command for coding agents from kckylechen1/ClankerHouse. It costs 13 tokens per session (502 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of deepseek, MIT.

A command that sends a task to Clanker: Free, an external coding subagent accessed through OpenCode ACP.

In plain words
What is it for?
Dispatching read-only or write-enabled coding tasks, choosing effort settings, and optionally waiting for the result.
Why use it?
It provides a fixed way to delegate work while controlling whether the task can change files and whether it runs in the background.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00013 $0.00502
Opus 5 $0.00006 $0.00251
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00100
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00050

Security

Grade A, and why

free scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Origin

This is a copy

86% identical to deepseek — 12 lines differ, which has more behind it and is treated as the original. This page carries a canonical link to it rather than competing with it.

What it actually says

Dispatch the task below to Clanker: Free by invoking the clanker:oc subagent via the Agent tool (subagent_type: "clanker:oc"). The fixed model token is free.

Raw request: $ARGUMENTS

Argument mapping:

  • Fixed model: "free"; do not ask the user for a model and do not infer another one.
  • --write present -> read_only: false and a worktree is mandatory. If the user did not name a branch, generate clanker/free-<short-timestamp>. Absent --write -> read_only: true.
  • --effort <effort> -> effort; the backend may return a warning if Opencode ignores it.
  • Everything else is the natural-language prompt.
  • --background and --wait are Claude execution flags. Do not forward them to the Clanker prompt.

Execution mode:

  • If the raw request includes --wait, run clanker:oc in the foreground and relay its final result verbatim.
  • If the raw request includes --background, run clanker:oc as a Claude Code background task with run_in_background: true.
  • If neither flag is present, default to background.

Background flow:

  • Launch exactly one Agent tool call with subagent_type: "clanker:oc" and run_in_background: true.
  • The task text must be: "Dispatch as Clanker: Free. prompt=. read_only=. worktree=. model=free. effort=. Follow your relay protocol."
  • Do not call MCP dispatch tools in the main conversation.
  • Do not wait for the subagent or relay a final result in this turn.
  • After launching, tell the user: "Clanker: Free started in the Claude Code background task list."

Foreground flow:

  • Launch exactly one Agent tool call with subagent_type: "clanker:oc" and no background flag.
  • Use the same task text as the background flow.
  • Relay the subagent's final result verbatim.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
