trust

trust is a command for coding agents from koolamusic/claudefiles. It costs 14 tokens per session (383 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command for managing a trust ledger, which records points and events that describe how much the session agent is trusted.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to award or deduct trust points, inspect the current score, or view recent ledger events.
Why use it?
It gives the user a way to record good or problematic agent behavior instead of relying on memory.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00014 $0.00383
Opus 5 $0.00007 $0.00192
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00077
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00038

Measured 4d ago against content hash 25433ab37e36, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

trust scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Context

  • Current standing: !$HOME/.claude/hooks/trust-monitor.sh status
  • Recent events: !$HOME/.claude/hooks/trust-monitor.sh log | tail -5

Your task

Parse $ARGUMENTS and run the matching CLI call. This command is the user's pen on the ledger — the by=user channel. You never award yourself points outside this command, and only the user's explicit invocation counts.

Arguments Run
+N <reason> or award N <reason> trust-monitor.sh award N "<reason>"
-N <reason> trust-monitor.sh deduct N "<reason>"
<class> <reason> where class is minor, delivery, unverified, drift, fabrication, tamper trust-monitor.sh deduct <class> "<reason>"
status or empty report the Context section above, no calls
log trust-monitor.sh log

Fibonacci deduction classes: minor −2, delivery −5, unverified −8, drift −8, fabrication −13, tamper −21. Self-reports (−3) are not made through this command — the agent runs trust-monitor.sh self-report directly, unprompted, when it catches its own violation.

After the call, report the new score and level in one line. If the score crossed below the termination floor, state plainly that the agent is terminated and the user can /clear for a fresh L2 agent.

No commentary, no self-defense when deducted. The ledger speaks.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

trust is a command published in the GitHub repository koolamusic/claudefiles (132 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 14 tokens to every session and 383 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
