generate-image

A command that creates one image from a text prompt using an image-generation tool.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to generate images with optional style, size, quality, or background settings, then save or retrieve the result.
Why use it?
It avoids having to manually call the image tool and helps keep generated files with the current project.

Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.00314
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00157
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00063
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00031

Security

Grade A, and why

generate-image scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Generate a single image from the prompt: $ARGUMENTS

  1. Call the generate_image MCP tool with prompt set to the description. In stdio mode, also pass output_dir with the absolute path of the current workspace root so the image saves next to the user's work (otherwise GUI-spawned agents like Claude Desktop save to $HOME).
  2. If the user mentioned style, size, quality, format, or background preferences, pass them as the corresponding optional parameters; otherwise omit them and let the model defaults apply.
  3. If status is "done":
    • stdio mode — the MCP server already saved the image to .frenchie/<slug>/generated.<ext>. The response includes savedTo. Tell the user the file path so they can open it.
    • HTTP mode — the response includes a presigned imageUrl that expires in 30 minutes. You MUST download the image to the user's machine (or render it inline if the agent UI supports that) before concluding the task. Do not just hand the user a URL.
  4. If status is "processing", poll with get_job_result using the returned jobId until done.
  5. If the result has expired (status 410), tell the user the image is no longer available and ask whether to regenerate.

Pricing: 20 credits per image, refunded automatically on failure. Rate limits: 50 images / hour and 250 images / day per user.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

generate-image is a command published in the GitHub repository Lab94/frenchie-skill (0 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 314 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
