kimi:plan

kimi:plan is a command for Claude Code from luanmorenommaciel/kimi-plugin-cc. It costs 22 tokens per session (305 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A read-only command that asks Kimi to turn a coding task into a structured implementation plan. It gathers relevant project files and presents the result in Markdown.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan features or other coding tasks, including the files to modify, API changes, state flows, edge cases, and test requirements.
Why use it?
It helps you understand the work before changing code, so important files, edge cases, tests, and design decisions are considered up front.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00022 $0.00305
Opus 5 $0.00011 $0.00152
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00061
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

kimi:plan scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

/kimi:plan

Produce a detailed implementation plan for a feature or task.

Usage

/kimi:plan "Add OAuth2 authentication"

Process

  1. Gather context

    • Read CLAUDE.md, README.md, and relevant source files.
    • Identify extension points, hooks, and existing patterns.
  2. Dispatch to Kimi

    • Use --role coder with --mode plan — the prompt instructs planning only, no file changes.
    • Prompt includes feature description + gathered context.
    Bash("node plugins/kimi/scripts/broker.mjs dispatch \
--prompt 'Create an implementation plan for: <feature>. Context: ...' \
      --role coder \
      --mode plan")

  3. Render plan

    • Parse structured output.
    • Output as markdown.

Output

  • State machine (Mermaid)
  • API signatures
  • File modification list
  • Edge cases table
  • Test requirements

Notes

  • Planning is enforced by the prompt (--mode plan), not by tool exclusion — Kimi Code 0.x cannot exclude tools headlessly.
  • Can be fed into /kimi:crank for execution.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
