What is new-migration?

A command for creating a new Goose database migration, which is a versioned change to a database’s structure or data.

Use it to create a timestamped Go migration in ./migrations, implement its Up and Down functions, register it, and check its status or apply it with the project’s Make commands.

It standardizes the file creation process and reminds the developer to provide both the change and its reversal.

Rode make new-migration migration=<nome_em_snake_case> para gerar o arquivo .go com timestamp em ./migrations.
Implemente as funções Up e Down no arquivo gerado (migrations são em Go, não SQL puro — veja exemplos existentes em ./migrations).
Garanta que o arquivo seja registrado via import side-effect (o pacote migrations é importado em cmd/migrator.go).
Para testar: make migrate-status e depois make migrate-up (precisa do Postgres rodando — docker-compose up -d postgres).

Sempre implemente o Down correspondente ao Up.
