py-armodel: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/merge-pr.md

merge-pr is a command for Claude Code from melodypapa/py-armodel. It costs 0 tokens per session (663 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Git workflow command that checks whether a GitHub pull request can be merged, merges it, and updates your local master branch. A pull request is a proposed code change waiting for review.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to finish a pull request after its checks pass and return your working copy to the latest master branch.
Why use it?
It removes the repetitive steps of checking automated checks, merging on GitHub, switching branches, downloading the merged code, and optionally deleting the old branch.

This is melodypapa/py-armodel's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on py-armodel itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything py-armodel configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00663
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00265
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00133
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00066

Measured 5d ago against content hash 8de2650a050c, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

merge-pr scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Merge Pull Request

Check pull request status, merge it, and return to master branch.

Usage

/merge-pr

What This Command Does

  1. Check PR Status: Checks if the pull request can be merged (passes CI checks)
  2. Merge PR via GitHub: Uses gh pr merge to merge the PR directly through GitHub
  3. Switch to Master: Checks out the master branch
  4. Pull Latest: Pulls the merged changes from origin/master
  5. Cleanup: Optionally deletes the local feature branch

Steps

1. Check PR Status

  • List open pull requests using gh pr list
  • Show the status of the current PR
  • Verify CI checks are passing

2. Merge PR via GitHub

  • Use gh pr merge --delete-branch to merge the PR directly through GitHub
  • The --delete-branch flag ensures the remote branch is deleted after merge
  • This automatically closes the PR and updates the master branch on GitHub
  • Supports merge methods: merge, squash, rebase
  • Example: gh pr merge --merge --delete-branch or gh pr merge --squash --delete-branch

3. Switch to Master

  • Checkout master branch: git checkout master
  • Ensure we're on master

4. Pull Latest Changes

  • Pull from origin/master: git pull origin master
  • This updates local master with the merged changes from GitHub

5. Cleanup (Optional)

  • Ask if you want to delete the local feature branch
  • Delete local branch: git branch -d <feature-branch>
  • Remote branch is already deleted by gh pr merge --delete-branch command

Arguments

Use $ARGUMENTS to accept:

  • PR number (if not the current branch's PR)
  • Merge method: --merge, --squash, or --rebase (default: merge)
  • Skip cleanup (don't delete feature branch)
  • Force merge (merge even if CI is not passing)

Example Usage

/merge-pr
/merge-pr 36
/merge-pr --squash
/merge-pr 87 --rebase
/merge-pr --no-cleanup
/merge-pr --force

Notes

  • Always confirms before destructive operations (merge, delete)
  • Shows progress updates at each step
  • Uses gh pr merge --delete-branch to merge via GitHub API (cleaner than local merge)
  • The --delete-branch flag ensures remote branch deletion after merge
  • GitHub automatically closes the PR when merged
  • Remote branch is deleted by gh CLI using the --delete-branch flag
  • Reports any merge conflicts if they occur
  • Provides links to the merged PR
  • Updates the todo list to track progress

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
