release

release is a command for Claude Code from modu-ai/moai-adk. It costs 37 tokens per session (168 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A developer-only command for preparing production releases of MoAI-ADK. It uses an enhanced GitHub workflow, a release script, and GoReleaser, a tool that packages and publishes software releases.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to run the project’s release-maintainer workflow and coordinate versioning, packaging, and production-release approval.
Why use it?
It organizes release steps while requiring human approval for version selection and the final production release. It is not intended for distribution to end-user projects.

Command for Claude Code

About the project

MoAI-ADK is a Go-based harness that organizes and verifies Claude Code work across planning, implementation, synchronization, and review stages. Developers use it to structure agentic coding tasks, apply quality gates, and route work across language models, while the catalogue entries extend its workflow with skills, hooks, commands, MCP servers, instructions, and settings.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00037 $0.00168
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.00084
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00034
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00017

Security

Grade A, and why

release scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

[DEV-ONLY] maintainer harness. NOT distributed to user projects. user-owned namespace (moai update preserves it).

Run the release harness. Pure human-gated specialist — no Runner, no manifest (no non-interactive fan-out).

Use the hns-release-specialist subagent with arguments: $ARGUMENTS

The specialist is human-gated: the orchestrator holds every AskUserQuestion gate (version selection, production-release final approval). The specialist returns blocker reports for any user decision.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
