parallel-prp-creation

parallel-prp-creation is a command for Claude Code from mort-lab/excel-mcp. It costs 20 tokens per session (3,556 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that creates several independent product requirements plans (PRPs) for the same feature. Each plan explores a different implementation strategy so the approaches can be compared before coding.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to generate multiple researched plans for a feature, review their differences, and choose an implementation direction.
Why use it?
It helps when a feature could be built in more than one way. Comparing separate plans makes trade-offs such as performance, architecture, and implementation approach easier to assess.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00020 $0.03556
Opus 5 $0.00010 $0.01778
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00711
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00356

Security

Grade A, and why

parallel-prp-creation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Parallel PRP Creation - Multiple Implementation Strategies

Generate ARGS parallel PRP variations for comparative analysis and implementation approach validation. This command leverages multiple AI agents working simultaneously to create different implementation strategies for the same feature, enabling selection of the optimal approach.

Overview

This workflow creates NUMBER_OF_PARALLEL_PRPs independent PRP variations:

  • Each agent researches the same feature from different architectural perspectives
  • Each agent creates a complete PRP with distinct implementation approaches
  • All agents work concurrently for maximum efficiency
  • Results enable comparative analysis and strategy selection

Parallel Agent Coordination

CRITICAL: Execute all agents simultaneously using multiple Task tool calls in a single response. Do not wait for one agent to complete before starting the next.

Agent Assignment Strategy

Each agent approaches the same feature with different focus areas:

Agent Specialization Matrix

Agent 1: Performance-Optimized Approach
  Focus: Scalability, caching, optimization
  Architecture: High-performance patterns
  Validation: Load testing, performance metrics

Agent 2: Security-First Approach
  Focus: Security, validation, authentication
  Architecture: Defense-in-depth patterns
  Validation: Security testing, penetration testing

Agent 3: Maintainability-Focused Approach
  Focus: Clean code, modularity, testing
  Architecture: SOLID principles, design patterns
  Validation: Unit testing, code quality

Agent 4: Rapid-Development Approach
  Focus: Quick implementation, minimal complexity
  Architecture: Simplified patterns, frameworks
  Validation: Integration testing, functionality

Agent 5: Enterprise-Grade Approach
  Focus: Robustness, monitoring, observability
  Architecture: Enterprise patterns, microservices
  Validation: End-to-end testing, monitoring

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

parallel-prp-creation is a command published in the GitHub repository mort-lab/excel-mcp (5 stars, last pushed 27d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 20 tokens to every session and 3,556 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
