skills-guide

skills-guide is a command for Claude Code from mtvrkan/senior-dev-kit. It costs 15 tokens per session (220 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that lists the Senior Dev Kit’s installed skills and explains when each one starts automatically. Skills are reusable instructions that guide an agent through a particular kind of work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review available skills for bugs, tests, features, databases, documentation, security, releases, research, mobile work, and web interfaces, including which are manual-only or tied to a specific agent.
Why use it?
Without a map of the installed skills, it is difficult to know which guidance exists or why an agent selected it. This gives a short reference instead of requiring you to read every instruction file.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00015 $0.00220
Opus 5 $0.00008 $0.00110
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00044
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00022

Measured 6d ago against content hash 2083a495225c, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

skills-guide scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

/skills-guide

Read every skills/*/SKILL.md under KIT ROOT (~/.claude/ for a copy install, the plugin directory for a plugin install) and summarize for the user: each skill's name, its description, and its when_to_use auto-trigger condition.

Keep the summary to one table (skill | auto-triggers when), grouped loosely by purpose (bug / test / review, feature / API / DB, docs, security / release, research, mobile / web UI). Note which skills are bound to a specific agent (agent: in frontmatter) versus invocable by any agent, and which are manual-only (disable-model-invocation: true). Do not restate each skill's full body — link the user to skills/<name>/SKILL.md for detail. See agents/ROUTING.md's "Agent vs. skill" section for how skills relate to agents.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
