Conductor-Beads: Command for Claude Code

.claude/skills/conductor/references/commands/formula.md

formula is a command for Claude Code from NguyenSiTrung/Conductor-Beads. It costs 0 tokens per session (1,197 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of conductor-formula, Apache-2.0.

A command for managing Conductor workflow templates, called formulas. It can list available formulas or show the structure and variables of one formula, after checking that Beads is installed and initialized.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list formulas, view a formula's details, or learn how to create one from a completed track using the related Conductor command.
Why use it?
It prevents formula commands from running when the required Beads setup is missing and makes reusable track workflows easier to inspect.

This is NguyenSiTrung/Conductor-Beads's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on Conductor-Beads itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything Conductor-Beads configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.01197
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00598
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00239
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00120

Security

Grade A, and why

formula scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Conductor Formula

Manage track workflow templates: $ARGUMENTS

1.0 BEADS CHECK

PROTOCOL: Verify Beads is available for formula management.

  1. Check Beads CLI: Run which bd

  2. Check Beads Initialization:

    • If .beads/ directory does NOT exist:

"⚠️ Beads is not initialized in this project." "Run bd init first, or use /conductor-setup to set up the project."

      • HALT

2.0 PARSE SUBCOMMAND

PROTOCOL: Determine action from arguments.

  1. Parse $ARGUMENTS:

    If empty or "list":

    • Go to section 3.0 (List Formulas)

    If "show ":

    • Extract formula name
    • Go to section 4.0 (Show Formula Details)

    If "create":

    • Announce: "To create a new formula, use /conductor-distill <track_id> to extract a template from a completed track."
    • HALT

    Otherwise:

    • Announce available subcommands:

      "Usage: /conductor-formula [list|show ]"

      Subcommands:

      • list - List all available formulas (default)
      • show <name> - Show formula structure and variables

      Related commands:

      • /conductor-distill <track_id> - Create formula from completed track
      • /conductor-wisp - Create ephemeral exploration track
    • HALT

3.0 LIST FORMULAS

PROTOCOL: Display available workflow templates.

  1. Query Beads:

    bd formula list --json

  2. Handle Empty Result:

    • If no formulas found:

"No formulas found in this project."

      To create a formula:

      1. Complete a track using /conductor-implement
      2. Run /conductor-distill <track_id> to extract a reusable template

      Or use Beads directly:

bd mol distill <epic-id> --as "Template Name"

  3. Display Results:

    "## Available Formulas (Track Templates)"

    Formula Description Variables
    <name> <description> <var_list>

    Usage:

    • /conductor-formula show <name> - View formula details
    • bd mol pour <name> - Create persistent track from formula
    • bd mol wisp <name> - Create ephemeral exploration from formula
    • /conductor-wisp <name> - Quick ephemeral track

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

formula is a command published in the GitHub repository NguyenSiTrung/Conductor-Beads (24 stars, last pushed 6mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,197 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. It is 89% identical to conductor-formula, differing in 10 lines, and is treated as a copy.
