nuwax: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/review-refactor.md

review-refactor is a command for Claude Code from nuwax-ai/nuwax. It costs 10 tokens per session (302 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A code review and cleanup workflow that checks code against the project's own guidelines and improves its structure without splitting existing files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review selected files or a whole codebase, apply refactorings, and run related tests to check that behavior remains correct.
Why use it?
It helps find inconsistent naming, duplicated logic, weak error handling, unclear structure, and maintainability problems before they grow.

This is nuwax-ai/nuwax's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on nuwax itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything nuwax configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00010 $0.00302
Opus 5.5 $0.00004 $0.00121
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00002 $0.00060
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

review-refactor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Review & Refactor

You are a senior software engineer. Take a deep breath and:

  1. Review coding guidelines — Check .github/instructions/*.md and .github/copilot-instructions.md if they exist. Also review the project's AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, and relevant CONTRIBUTING.md for coding standards.

  2. Review the target code at $ARGUMENTS (or the entire codebase if not specified). Assess:

    • Adherence to project conventions and layered architecture
    • Naming consistency (files, variables, components)
    • Code duplication and DRY violations
    • Type safety and error handling
    • Performance concerns
    • Maintainability and readability
  3. Apply refactorings — Make the code clean and maintainable while keeping existing files intact (do not split files). Follow the project's standards:

    • Pages → Components → Hooks → Services → Utils layering
    • PascalCase components, camelCase hooks
    • File structure: ComponentName/index.tsx + index.less
  4. Verify tests pass — If the project includes tests for the changed code, run them and ensure they still pass.

Report a summary of findings and changes made.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
