distill

distill is a command for Claude Code from obiwancenobi/klamben. It costs 24 tokens per session (404 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A command for simplifying Flutter widget code by removing unnecessary layout wrappers and extracting repeated widget trees into named private widgets.

In plain words
What is it for?
Flattening redundant Container, Padding, Center, and Card chains, and extracting repeated UI sections without moving them to new files.
Why use it?
Deep nesting and duplicated layouts make widget files harder to read and maintain.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00024 $0.00404
Opus 5 $0.00012 $0.00202
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00081
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00040

Measured 8d ago against content hash 1fbc77d61315, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

distill scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

/distill

Collapse redundant widgets and extract duplication.

When to use

  • A widget file exceeds ~200 lines
  • /audit flags layout/nested-padding or visual/nested-cards
  • A subtree repeats 3+ times

Actions

  1. Check design context: If .klamben.md exists in the project root, read it first. Apply the project's brand, platform targets, accessibility tier, and existing patterns to your work below.
  2. Flatten redundant wrappers:
    • Padding > Container > Padding → single Container(padding: ...)
    • Container > Center > TextContainer(alignment: Alignment.center, child: Text)
    • Card > Card → single Card with internal structure
  3. Extract repeated subtrees into private StatelessWidget classes at the bottom of the file
  4. Name extracted widgets descriptively (_UserRow, not _Row1)
  5. Drop unused Container decorations (empty BoxDecoration)

Do NOT

  • Extract widgets that appear only once (premature abstraction)
  • Create public API widgets without the user asking
  • Move widgets to new files (that's /widgetize)

Output

distill lib/screens/home.dart

- Padding(padding: EdgeInsets.all(16),
- child: Container(padding: EdgeInsets.all(16), child: Text('Hi')))
+ Container(padding: EdgeInsets.all(32), child: Text('Hi'))

Extracted 3 repeated _UserRow subtrees into class _UserRow at L187.

4 collapses, 1 extraction.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
