design-interaction

design-interaction is a command for Claude Code from Owl-Listener/designer-skills. It costs 11 tokens per session (239 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command for describing how a feature or interface behaves from start to finish. It covers states, animations, touch and pointer actions, feedback, errors, and loading behavior.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to specify complete interaction flows for features and components, including state diagrams and detailed behavior.
Why use it?
It helps teams find missing states and unclear responses before implementation, including what happens when something fails or takes time.

About the project

Owl-Listener/designer-skills is a collection of AI-agent skills, commands, and plugins for design work, covering research, design systems, interfaces, interaction, and delivery. Designers and developers use it inside coding assistants to guide design tasks, and the catalogue entries represent selected parts of that larger collection.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00011 $0.00239
Opus 5 $0.00005 $0.00120
Sonnet 5 $0.00002 $0.00048
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00024

Security

Grade A, and why

design-interaction scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

/design-interaction

Design a complete interaction flow.

Steps

  1. States — Model the interaction states using state-machine skill.
  2. Micro-interactions — Specify each micro-interaction using micro-interaction-spec skill.
  3. Animation — Define motion using animation-principles skill.
  4. Gestures — Design touch/pointer interactions using gesture-patterns skill.
  5. Feedback — Specify system feedback using feedback-patterns skill.
  6. Error handling — Design error paths using error-handling-ux skill.
  7. Loading — Design loading states using loading-states skill.

Output

Complete interaction specification with state diagram, micro-interaction specs, animation details, gesture definitions, feedback plan, error flows, and loading states. Consider following up with /map-states for complex components or /error-flow for critical paths.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

design-interaction is a command published in the GitHub repository Owl-Listener/designer-skills (2,593 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 11 tokens to every session and 239 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
