security-audit

security-audit is a command for Claude Code from pedrol-cmd/brain-drin. It costs 15 tokens per session (305 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A security review of an application, its authentication, secrets, and software dependencies, using the OWASP Top 10—a list of common web security risks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect code or a whole project, understand the impact of each finding, and create a prioritized fix plan.
Why use it?
It helps uncover real vulnerabilities, such as injection attacks, weak access checks, exposed secrets, and unsafe dependencies, before attackers exploit them.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00015 $0.00305
Opus 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00122
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00003 $0.00061
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

security-audit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Security Audit

Context

  • Target: $ARGUMENTS (if 'full', audit the entire project)
  • Dependencies: !cat package-lock.json 2>/dev/null | head -5 || cat requirements.txt 2>/dev/null | head -5 || echo "no lockfile found"

Your Task

Audit for:

  1. Injection — SQL, NoSQL, OS command, LDAP
  2. Broken Auth — Missing checks, weak session management, JWT issues
  3. Sensitive Data — PII in logs, unencrypted storage, secrets in code
  4. Broken Access Control — IDOR, missing role checks, privilege escalation
  5. XSS — Reflected, stored, DOM-based
  6. Misconfig — Default creds, verbose errors, unnecessary features
  7. Vulnerable Deps — Known CVEs in dependencies
  8. Secrets — API keys, tokens, passwords in code or config

Output

For each finding:

**[CRITICAL|HIGH|MEDIUM|LOW]** file:line — Title
What: description
Impact: what an attacker could do
Fix: specific remediation

End with prioritized remediation plan. Only report real vulnerabilities with exploit paths. No theoretical risks.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

security-audit is a command published in the GitHub repository pedrol-cmd/brain-drin (12 stars, last pushed 6mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 15 tokens to every session and 305 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
