fdf-export-effective-instructions-bundle

fdf-export-effective-instructions-bundle is a command for coding agents from QuasarByte/feature-driven-flow-claude. It costs 12 tokens per session (326 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that exports the instructions currently in effect into a directory of files. The bundle includes a manifest and seven instruction phases.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to save effective instructions for reuse, inspection, or sharing, with settings controlling the output location and whether content is embedded.
Why use it?
It creates a portable record of the rules guiding the workflow and checks that the exported files follow the expected format.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00012 $0.00326
Opus 5 $0.00006 $0.00163
Sonnet 5 $0.00002 $0.00065
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00033

Measured 5d ago against content hash 8d20f3f32e44, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

fdf-export-effective-instructions-bundle scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Task: $ARGUMENTS

Requirements:

  1. Interpret $ARGUMENTS as optional output directory path.
  2. Resolve target directory by policy:
    • explicit user path when allowed by effective_instructions.export.allow_user_path_override
    • otherwise effective_instructions.export.default_directory_bundle
  3. Use content mode from settings:
    • effective_instructions.export.content_mode (reference|portable|hybrid)
  4. Respect path policy:
    • relative paths are repo-root relative
    • absolute paths only if effective_instructions.export.allow_absolute_path=true
    • overwrite behavior from effective_instructions.export.overwrite_existing
  5. Export bundle files: bundle.manifest.json and phases/<phase>.md for all 7 phases.
  6. Validate manifest against:
    • fdf/schemas/fdf-effective-instructions-bundle.schema.json
    • or portable schema when content mode is portable|hybrid
  7. If portable/hybrid mode, warn about larger artifacts and possible sensitive source exposure.
  8. If effective_instructions.export.allow_custom_instructions=true, ask user whether to include custom instructions.
  9. If custom instructions included and require_custom_instructions_approval=true, require explicit user approval before export.
  10. If require_all_custom_instruction_items_approved=true, block unapproved items; ask user to approve, skip, or cancel.
  11. Return export result including resolved directory and validation status.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
