Command for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: allowed-tools in frontmatter. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; names the AskUserQuestion tool; mentions Claude Code.

Runs only inside its plugin — its command needs a path that Claude Code sets for a plugin’s own hooks and for nothing else. Install the plugin, not this.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00038 $0.00429
Opus 5 $0.00019 $0.00215
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00086
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00043

Security

Grade B, and why

statusline scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What it actually says

Configure the Claude Code statusline by doing the following steps in order:

  1. Ask the user where to install using AskUserQuestion with these options:

    • Global: writes to ~/.claude/settings.json, applies to all projects
    • Project: writes to .claude/settings.local.json in the current working directory, applies only to this project (gitignored, personal)
  2. Find the albino plugin install directory. Check these locations in order and use the first that exists:

    • ~/.myagents/plugins/albino
    • The value of the CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT environment variable

    The statusline script is at scripts/configure-statusline.sh inside that directory.

  3. Based on the user's choice, determine the target settings file:

    • Global: ~/.claude/settings.json
    • Project: .claude/settings.local.json (relative to current working directory: create .claude/ if it does not exist)
  4. Read the target settings file. If it does not exist, treat it as an empty JSON object {}.

  5. Add or update the statusLine field with:

    {
      "statusLine": {
        "type": "command",
        "command": "<absolute-path-to-configure-statusline.sh>",
        "refreshInterval": 30
      }
    }

    Preserve all other existing fields. Write the result back to the target settings file.

  6. Confirm to the user: statusline is configured (global or project, as chosen). It shows current directory, git branch and dirty state, model, color-coded context usage, and time. It refreshes every 30 seconds. Changes take effect on the next Claude Code interaction.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

statusline is a command published in the GitHub repository RashadAnsari/myagents (6 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 38 tokens to every session and 429 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (reads agent configuration directories). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
