prep-pr

prep-pr is a command for Claude Code from Sagargupta16/claude-skills. It costs 13 tokens per session (694 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A pull-request preparation command for contributing changes to an upstream open-source project, meaning the original project rather than your fork.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to read contribution instructions and pull-request templates, compare recent merged requests, and prepare a compliant draft without creating the request automatically.
Why use it?
It reduces the chance that a contribution misses the project's required format, tests, legal agreements, or disclosure rules.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00013 $0.00694
Opus 5 $0.00006 $0.00347
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00139
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00069

Security

Grade A, and why

prep-pr scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Task

Prepare a PR for upstream review. Do not create it automatically.

  1. Read CONTRIBUTING.md above. Note CLA/DCO requirements, commit style, testing requirements, AI-disclosure rules.
  2. Match recent merged PRs. Tone, title format, body shape, body length.
  3. Quality-bar check (7+/10). Is this a real bug fix or meaningful feature? Skip self-promo awesome-list adds, trivial typos, docstring-only changes unless they fix a real issue.
  4. Scope discipline. Review diff stat above -- flag any files outside the issue's scope as drive-by changes to strip.
  5. Tests. Do tests exist for the change? Do they match upstream's test patterns (framework, fixtures, markers)?
  6. Rebase check. Is the branch up to date with upstream/main?
  7. Fill the PR template verbatim (if one exists above). Include AI-disclosure checkboxes when the repo asks for them.
  8. Project-specific conventions. If the upstream is Apache Airflow: use [component] Description title format, verify template-rendering tests use create_task_instance_of_operator.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
