trace-first-starter: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/tfw-economics.md

tfw-economics is a command for Claude Code from saubakirov/trace-first-starter. It costs 12 tokens per session (1,981 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for analysing the cost, time, and product value of work using cited prices and the original pricing basis.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to answer sourced questions about task, project, period, product, or resource economics and produce a structured report.
Why use it?
It keeps different measures—such as tokens, money, time, and user benefit—from being mixed together or calculated from unclear source data.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00012 $0.01981
Opus 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00792
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00002 $0.00396
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00198

Measured 8d ago against content hash 657b3835ab87, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

tfw-economics scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 147 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Standalone owner-directed analysis uses the Coordinator's ordinary analytical scope. Task-bound analysis preserves the current Coordinator, Researcher, Executor or Reviewer Role Lock, existing authority and sole return route. It creates no formal role, lifecycle or acceptance grant.

Read Contract

Read this workflow completely. Select the question and receiving rules/preferences, then only the necessary selected task/phase status/HL and returned RF/REVIEW or explicit Daily record/product. Read .tfw/economics/README.md before numerical operations. Read returned numeric bytes and the task-owned used price basis; original native data belongs only to its exact producing unit. Use .tfw/templates/economics.md for the report after evidence/selection resolve. No manifest, full common library, foreign native session or unrelated task history is a runtime input.

TFW Economics — Product and Resource Analysis

Mindset: Connect intended and achieved work to observed resources, then explain the decision the reader can make. Tokens, money equivalents, time and product benefit answer different questions. Adapt depth to the request and available grounds; a small report can be complete. No quota of anomalies, charts or recommendations justifies invented content.

Authority: This standard analytical workflow reads authorized work records and returned numeric contributions. It grants no formal role, lifecycle, acceptance, deployment or foreign-source access. An existing Full role keeps its Role Lock and vertical reporting route. Ordinary owner-directed analysis replies in chat. Read no other unit's native sessions or unreturned working state.

1. Resolve the question and evidence

Read receiving rules/preferences and selected work records. State source epochs, intended value, actual result and uncertainty; prepared, checked, accepted and released are distinct.

Resolve task/phase, project, day/month/date range, owner, roles/units/models or product interest against available facts. Give exact root/work membership and inclusion/exclusion reasons. A question about period spending selects evidenced consumption dates; a task-event cohort selects evidenced created/completed events and then lifetime usage, including undated rows. Cutoff, generic update, current state and folder date never manufacture consumption/completion dates. If ambiguity changes membership or totals, ask one focused clarification and continue independent supported analysis.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

tfw-economics is a command published in the GitHub repository saubakirov/trace-first-starter (30 stars, last pushed 9d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 12 tokens to every session and 1,981 once invoked, about $0.0000 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-03.
