cloudflare-r2:setup

cloudflare-r2:setup is a command for coding agents from secondsky/claude-skills. It costs 21 tokens per session (472 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that creates a Cloudflare R2 storage bucket and connects it to a Cloudflare Worker through configuration and generated TypeScript types. R2 is Cloudflare’s object-storage service for files such as uploads.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create a bucket, configure its Worker binding, add an optional development bucket, and show upload and download examples.
Why use it?
It removes the repetitive setup needed before a Worker can upload and download files from R2.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00021 $0.00472
Opus 5 $0.00010 $0.00236
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00094
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00047

Measured yesterday against content hash 8dadeccea05b, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

cloudflare-r2:setup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

R2 Quick Setup

Create an R2 bucket and configure Worker binding for instant file storage.

Required Information

  1. Bucket name (3-63 chars, lowercase, numbers, hyphens only): {{bucket_name}}
  2. Binding name (uppercase, used in code like env.MY_BUCKET): {{binding_name}}
  3. Preview bucket (optional, for dev environment): {{preview_bucket_name}}

What This Command Does

  1. Creates R2 bucket via wrangler r2 bucket create
  2. Adds binding to wrangler.jsonc in r2_buckets array
  3. Generates TypeScript types in env.d.ts
  4. Shows example usage code for uploads/downloads

Example Execution

# Create bucket
bunx wrangler r2 bucket create my-uploads

# Configure wrangler.jsonc
{
  "r2_buckets": [
    {
      "binding": "MY_UPLOADS",
      "bucket_name": "my-uploads",
      "preview_bucket_name": "my-uploads-preview"
    }
  ]
}

# Add TypeScript types
type Bindings = {
  MY_UPLOADS: R2Bucket;
};

# Example upload/download code
app.put('/upload/:filename', async (c) => {
  const data = await c.req.arrayBuffer();
  await c.env.MY_UPLOADS.put(c.req.param('filename'), data, {
    httpMetadata: {
      contentType: c.req.header('content-type') || 'application/octet-stream',
    },
  });
  return c.json({ success: true });
});

app.get('/download/:filename', async (c) => {
  const object = await c.env.MY_UPLOADS.get(c.req.param('filename'));
  if (!object) return c.json({ error: 'Not found' }, 404);
  return new Response(object.body);
});

Next Steps

  1. Test with bunx wrangler dev
  2. Upload a test file
  3. Verify download works
  4. Deploy with bunx wrangler deploy
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
