scholar

scholar is a command for coding agents from Septemc/MistakebookSkill. It costs 26 tokens per session (214 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A pre-answer research check looks for relevant past mistakes before a new task begins. When it finds a high-confidence match, it adds one historical reminder to the response process.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to search the project’s mistake book before answering, control the check on or off, and avoid running it during correction, note-taking, or ascended-response workflows.
Why use it?
It helps avoid repeating known errors while staying quiet when no reliable reminder applies.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00026 $0.00214
Opus 5 $0.00013 $0.00107
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00043
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00021

Measured 3d ago against content hash 9f8ff6ad6054, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

scholar scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

在正式回答前先执行:

python scripts/mistakebook_cli.py scholar --host codex --project-root . --scope both --text "<当前任务>"

执行规则:

  1. 只有 shouldInject = true 时,才在正式回答前输出一行 message
  2. 如果 shouldInject = false,保持静默,直接正常回答。
  3. 如果当前已经进入纠错闭环、记事本归档或 Ascended Mode,不要运行 scholar
  4. scholar 负责答前避错,不替代 Ascended Mode 的失败升级处理。
  5. 需要长期关闭或开启时,分别执行:
    • python scripts/mistakebook_cli.py config --scholar off
    • python scripts/mistakebook_cli.py config --scholar on
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
