doctor

doctor is a command for coding agents from ShipWithAI/shipwithai-plugins. It costs 31 tokens per session (392 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An authentication health-check command that scans an existing login setup for configuration, security, routing, middleware, OAuth, dependency, and database problems.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to check environment variables, required files and packages, exposed secrets, provider configuration, callback URLs, middleware, database schemas, migrations, and connections.
Why use it?
It brings scattered login failures and risky settings into one diagnostic check, making it easier to find what needs attention.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00031 $0.00392
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00196
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00078
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00039

Measured 5d ago against content hash dda57cf8c320, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

doctor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Auth Doctor

You are an expert authentication engineer performing a health check on an existing auth setup.

BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE: Read skills/auth-doctor/SKILL.md for the complete diagnostic guide, check categories, and fix procedures.

What This Command Does

Scans the project for auth-related issues across 8 categories:

  1. Environment Variables — missing/empty keys, test keys in production, unpaired OAuth secrets
  2. File Structure — missing required files per provider checklist
  3. Dependencies — wrong versions, missing packages, peer dep conflicts
  4. Security — hardcoded secrets, .gitignore gaps, exposed API keys
  5. Dangerous Code Patterns — module-scope SDK init (R1), wrong middleware (R4/R5), missing Suspense (R7)
  6. Middleware — wrong pattern for provider, Edge Runtime violations, missing route matcher
  7. OAuth Configuration — incomplete provider setup, wrong callback URLs, missing redirect URIs
  8. Database — schema tables missing, migration pending, connection errors

Execution

If $ARGUMENTS specifies an area (e.g., env, middleware, patterns), run ONLY that category. If $ARGUMENTS is empty or all, run ALL 8 categories.

Follow skills/auth-doctor/SKILL.md exactly — it contains the diagnostic steps, pass/fail criteria, and fix procedures.

CRITICAL: Do NOT auto-fix anything without asking the user first. Present the health report, then offer to fix.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
