tests

tests is a command for Claude Code from ShouZhengAI/CS146S_CN. It costs 0 tokens per session (196 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command for running the Week 4 backend tests with pytest, a Python testing tool, and then measuring code coverage when the tests pass. It stops at the first failure and reports the relevant details.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to run all backend tests, a selected test path, test name, or pytest option, then review passed and skipped tests, coverage, and uncovered lines.
Why use it?
It gives a repeatable test workflow and prevents coverage results from hiding a failed test. It also avoids changing the code, database, or test fixtures.

About the project

CS146S_CN is a Chinese-language, hands-on course about developing software with coding agents, including agent skills, MCP, specification-driven development, testing, deployment, and software-factory practices. It is for programmers learning how to design and use agent-assisted development workflows. The catalogue entries are commands associated with the course.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00196
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00098
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00039
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00020

Security

Grade A, and why

tests scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Run backend tests

Run the Week 4 backend test workflow. Build TEST_ARGS from $ARGUMENTS: use backend/tests when it is empty; prepend backend/tests when it starts with an option such as -k; otherwise use the supplied path or node ID as-is.

  1. From week4/, run pytest -q $TEST_ARGS --maxfail=1 -x.
  2. If a test fails, stop. Report the failing test, the first relevant traceback, the likely source file, and one concrete next step. Do not report coverage from a failed run.
  3. If it passes, run pytest -q $TEST_ARGS --cov=backend.app --cov-report=term-missing.
  4. Summarize passed/skipped counts, total coverage, and uncovered line ranges. Do not change code unless explicitly asked.

Keep both invocations read-only and deterministic. Never delete the database or rewrite fixtures.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

tests is a command published in the GitHub repository ShouZhengAI/CS146S_CN (1,554 stars, last pushed 8d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 196 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
