sc-cache-clear

sc-cache-clear is a command for Claude Code from smrafiz/claude-supercharger. It costs 11 tokens per session (234 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of cache-clear, MIT.

A command that scans a codebase or selected area for inconsistent patterns, outdated parts, and divergence from its own documentation or configuration. It is not a code-diff review or a security review.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to audit a repository or subsystem for drift, inconsistent conventions, change hotspots, and areas that are becoming difficult to maintain.
Why use it?
It finds maintenance problems that can spread across code, documentation, and configuration, while requiring each finding to cite the project's established pattern.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00011 $0.00234
Opus 5.5 $0.00004 $0.00094
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00002 $0.00047
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00023

Security

Grade A, and why

sc-cache-clear scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Origin

This is a copy

91% identical to cache-clear — 4 lines differ, which has more behind it and is treated as the original. This page carries a canonical link to it rather than competing with it.

What it actually says

Clear typecheck and quality-gate hash caches. Arguments: $ARGUMENTS

Runs tools/cache-clear.sh to remove all cached hash files so hooks re-check all files on next run.

if [ -f "$HOME/.claude/supercharger/tools/cache-clear.sh" ]; then
  bash "$HOME/.claude/supercharger/tools/cache-clear.sh" $ARGUMENTS
else
echo "cache-clear.sh not found. Re-run install.sh to restore tools."
fi

Options:

  • No args — clears all cache files immediately
  • --dry-run — shows what would be removed without deleting

When to use:

  • After moving or renaming files (stale keys from old paths won't prune themselves until next write)
  • After a hook misconfiguration produced incorrect cache entries
  • When forcing a full re-check for a security audit

After running, the next hook execution will re-hash all files from scratch.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
